 We have many interesting types of native wildlife on 3J Ranch. If the weather will
permit, we will take you on a tour of the ranch. You should be able to see many
different animals.
Being in the Texas Hill
Country, we have Whitetail Deer. During the deer season, we have to watch when we schedule
your tour because someone might be hunting.

We are so
happy to see so many young squirrels here. For many years, the squirrel population was
gone. Slowly, it has returned and is now thriving. If you ever need a good laugh,
watch squirrels very carefully. They are amazing.
 We
have four stock ponds from which the livestock drink. Regularly, we have wild birds come in
and use the ponds. The cattle egrets really look majestic when they come by. We have begun a
catch and release fishing program at the Catfish Tank. We have cane poles for your to use.
Children and adults alike really enjoy catching perch and the occasional catfish.
